Condition
Framed: 39 x 33 inches.The canvas is lined with an old, coarse burlap lining. The paint surface has very fine craquelure throughout. There is some bulging under the upper edge of the canvas. Under UV light: the figures have been selectively cleaned, the rest of the background is covered by a thick green varnish. There is inpainting throughout the canvas, especially, on the faces of the mother and child, the clothing, and the background surrounding them. Additional images available upon request.
